Matt Evans
Matt Evans is entering his fourth season as the Lady Braves head coach.
The Lady Braves are 46-11-6 under Coach Evans and were 2021 and 2023 OCC champions. The 2022 season saw Coach Evans achieve his 100th career victory as a head coach. His overall record is now 125-35-16. The Braves have been to 3-straight district finals under Evans.
Before being named head coach at Olentangy in 2021, Coach Evans was the Head Coach of the Jonathan Alder girls soccer program from 2015-2020. While at JA, he compiled a record of 79-24-9 in 6 years as head coach. During his time at JA, the Pioneers won two conference championships (2015, 2016) and one district championship (2015). They also made 2 other district final appearances.
Coach Evans was also named Central District Coach of the Year in 2016.
Coach Evans is a 2006 graduate of Hilliard Darby High School and a 2010 graduate of Columbia College Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports Journalism. Coach Evans currently works in healthcare and resides in Commercial Point with his wife Jordyn, daughter Hudson (5) and daughter Emerson (3).
