How can I sync all the pre-season events and trainings to my mobile device?
All pre-season events and trainings are viewable on the site calendar.
Click on the 'Sync to Calendar' button on the calendar page and follow instructions to sync calendar to your mobile device.
Continue to review the calendar year-round for events that pertain to the entire program (i.e. Senior Night, End-of Season Banquet, Monthly Boosters Meetings).
Where do I access and turn in physical forms / release forms?
Physical forms are accessed thru OLSD Final Forms and due prior to tryouts (Aug. 1)
Once signed by a physician, student physical forms may be turned into an athletic trainer during any pre-season weight lifting session.
How can parents volunteer to support Olentangy Women's Soccer (OWS)?
Attend at least two boosters meetings (third Wednesday of every month at 6pm posted on the calendar). The best time to attend is June, July and August to hear the most about getting involved, team events and tryouts.
Review the Parent Volunteers (under the Team tab) and any open volunteer positions. To volunteer, attend a Booster meeting or email Boosters at ohs.gs.boosters@gmail.com.
What are "Team Meals" and how do I volunteer?
Throughout the season, meals are hosted for squads by parent volunteers to provide good nutrition and the opportunity for squad bonding.
These meals are often planned after a practice on a night before a home game.
One or two squad parents generally collaborate to host a meal, at one of the squad player's homes or select venue. (The high school cafeteria may be reserved as a venue thru the athletic office by contacting Lisa_Daragona@olsd.us.)
What is the Leadership Council (LC)?
The LeadershipCouncil (LC) helps to lead and guide all three squads throughout the season by accomplishing a variety of tasks aimed at improving Olentangy Women's Soccer.
As a part of the LC, members are exposed to a variety of leadership lessons and challenges to help better prepare them to serve the program while also helping to prepare them for college and beyond.
Being a member of the LC does require a significant time commitment.
Comprised of approximately 8 players, the LC is elected by their fellow players and serves January through November.
Each January, the LC is elected anew. Interested returning players submit their name for the ballot along with a "Why they want to serve the Team" paragraph. All paragraphs are vetted by the coaching staff and then a ballot is sent to all returning players. Coaches also cast a ballot vote.
Historically, LC representation has come from all three squads.
